Usage Scenarios

Manhole lighting in cold weather.

Light Ring equipment.

Our Light Ring places LED modules beneath the frame to illuminate your manhole. Cold or wet conditions still require the operating limits for your model and battery; an integrated light does not establish a temperature range, waterproof rating or hazardous-location approval.

Check your model’s battery requirements

Milwaukee M18 batteries are sold separately for our standard Light Ring. Our XL cut sheet describes an 18V Milwaukee arrangement; we confirm the battery and interface for the supplied XL. Follow the battery and equipment instructions for charging, storage and use.

We do not publish a guaranteed runtime or cold-weather operating range. Ask us for current operating information if your crew needs those details.

Check lighting and cable clearance

Our standard model has four LED modules and a 22- to 30-inch manhole range. XL has six modules and a 24- to 38-inch range. Check actual seating, working clearance, shadows and glare at each job. Module counts do not establish illumination at a particular depth.

Keep your required protection in place

Do not stand on the hinged cover or use the equipment cleat for personnel lines. Our cover does not replace ventilation or respiratory protection, and we do not claim that it prevents camera fogging or keeps your crew dry.
